5 Amazing Mac and Cheese Recipes

When we were children, we ate child food. And when we grow up, we still eat child food… it’s just a heck of a lot better.  And that’s why I’m finding some of the best recipes out there for mac and cheese. It was a childhood favorite of mine (surprise) and I was intent on getting some great reinventions of the classic.

And we all love comfort food, so why not start here? Mac and cheese is easy enough and when you add just the right things, you actually make it into a real meal. So feel free to gaze at these awesome dishes and choose one that looks the best… or cheesiest.

For all of you seafood lovers out there, look at this masterpiece. Cheesy lobster pasta goodness all wrapped up into a bowl. Done by Amy in the Kitchen,  this recipe serves 8, perfect for friends coming over or the family.

While it isn’t the quickest of recipes, it’s definitely worth it. And it’s a great recipe to put into your arsenal for the future.

This mac n cheese recipe definitely deserves some attention. Especially for those of you who like crazy spice and flavor. With spiced shrimp, breadcrumbs, and cream, this makes for an awesome hearty mouthful.

This great recipe was done by Tanya from Lemons for Lulu. Serving 6 and only taking around 30 minutes to make, it’s an awesome dish to have after work or when the comfort food craving strikes you.

Spinach Artichoke Macaroni and Cheese

Look at that cheesy goodness. Done by Yammie’s Noshery, it’s a dish that sounds healthy, but what with the heavy cream and all that cheese, it’s probably something you don’t want to have on a diet (don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten those that need a healthy version).

But it does yield some fresh spinach and onion, so you don’t have to feel too guilty when eating.

Healthy Mac and Cheese

See, I told you I hadn’t forgotten you healthy foodies. Done by one of my favorite food bloggers, Lindsay from Pinch of Yum, she takes mac and cheese and makes it just that much more guilt-free. Using butternut squash in her cheese sauce, she keeps the recipe simple and quick but delicious.

Serving 4, you can double it to make more and last you a couple of nights. Because food like this should be eaten more than once in a week.

Steak and Cheddar Mac and Cheese

And of course for all of the meat lovers out there, here’s a steak mac and cheese recipe done by Pinch of Yum as well (I swear, I’m not trying to promote them, they just have great recipes).

Made with red wine, this makes for a killer and hearty dinner. It also serves 8, so more for the family and friends… or just you.

These recipes are a great way to satisfy your cheesy cravings and level up your dinner experience. I hope you have fun making, and eating, these mac and cheese dishes. Just be sure to share the love, whether it’s with friends, or with yourself over multiple nights.

And lastly, don’t feel too intimidated by these recipes. Get out of your comfort zone and you’ll probably find that you’re still in it because a lot of dishes are a lot easier than they look.
