Being overweight not only hinders your day to day activities but also can cause many health problems throughout your life. And the following are some of the best diets to follow to lose weight fast and efficiently.

1. Paleo Diet: this is one of the most popular and recommended diets, making its rounds on social media for quite a while. This ancestral diet, as is popularly known, has given excellent results. The Paleo diet removes empty calories from your food intake including many carbohydrates, and processed foods of all sorts. Empty calories cause phantom fullness, which hinders your weight loss process.

This diet not only reduces your hunger but also increases the metabolism and keeps your hormones (which regulate your hunger) in check.

3. Keto Diet: this diet not only helps in shedding those extra pounds but also keeps the weight off. When your intake of carbohydrates is restricted for a few days, your body starts producing ketones. The body will then start to burn ketones for fuel which is super beneficial for your nervous system and losing weight. It also makes you more energetic and active and drastically reduces your appetite. Contrary to popular belief, this weight loss does not all come from burning fat; water loss is a major contributor in the first week.

Side Note: If you want an AWESOME guide that’ll help you lose weight (even when you’re eating out), then check out Eat This, Not That! here. Basically… you don’t need to diet to lose weight and can STILL go to McDonald’s.

4. Intermittent fasting: it’s the perfect tool if you urgently need to lose weight to fit into that dress for a special event. Intermitting fasting is when you eat for 6-7 hours of the day and have fast for the rest of the time. It might sound hard to do but it doesn’t have to be (especially when most of the fasting time is when you’re sleeping). Also, it burns visceral fat which is stubborn and doesn’t come off easy.

All of these diets are healthy and safe to follow but keep your nutritionist in the loop before starting any of these!
