4 Amazon Hacks That’ll Help You Save During the Holidays

Shopping for Christmas or even birthday presents can be a huge hassle, but Amazon is probably the best ways to cut out the stress of present shopping. They’ll have exactly what you’re looking for so you won’t have to wade through the masses of people and screaming children at the mall.

I mean, when you’re buying a gift for someone, it always comes with expectations. They want exactly what they asked for, so why go hunting for it at a store and hope you can find it (or something second best) when you could just go online? Amazon is a great way to cut out wasted time and get the present shopping done.

And once it’s done, you can relax and take it easy… that is until you have to gift wrap them. Then out come the Youtube tutorials and one long afternoon of making sure they look nice.

But while Amazon has its conveniences, not everything is super affordable. And that’s why I found these awesome hacks that’ll save you money when shopping for that friend who’s pretty particular or really easy going.

1. Play the Waiting Game

If you’re shopping for a family member or friend and the item they want is a bit too expensive, a great way to knock off a certain percentage from the price is to put the product in your basket… and then wait. Wait a few days or wait a whole week and Amazon might just knock the price down to entice you to buy it.

They want you to make the purchase, so they’ll do whatever they have to so they can finish the sale.

2. Snagshout

If your friend isn’t too particular when it comes to presents, and their wishes are vague (ex. “Some makeup products,” “a new dress,” etc.), then try Snagshout. This is a site where you can sign up and link your Amazon account to your Snagshout account. Then, just browse through the thousands of awesome products that would normally be expensive, but are now cut down to 70-90% off their price.

The reason for this? They want you to leave a review. So after a couple week after using the product, ask your friend or family member what they think of the product and then write a review for them. Just make sure you’re being honest about what you say!

3. MyHabit

Ever heard of this site? That’s fine, plenty of other people haven’t either. MyHabit is a store owned by Amazon where you can find designer products with a great discount. So if your sister loves to cook, you can get awesome cooking and/or baking supplies for 70% off (as an example).

So if you see the product on the main Amazon page, head on over to MyHabit. They’ll most likely have it for a discounted price.

4. Sign Up for the Prime 30-Day Free Trial

Now if you just want to get free shipping, but don’t feel like committing to a year plan of Amazon Prime, then just try the 30-day free trial.

Then, set up a timer on your phone to go off the day before the 30-day free trial ends so you don’t end up paying for a whole year.

Now whether it’s Christmas or someone’s birthday, there are always great ways to save money on Amazon all year long. With just a couple of these hacks, you don’t have to worry about going over budget. In fact, this could be one of the best years for saving money during the holiday season (when everyone is spending so much).

Now if you have any questions, just let me know in the comments down below! I’d love to hear about them!
