Giving gifts is always a hefty task because it doesn’t just involve you spending hours choosing the right gift, but also a lot of money.
…And this doesn’t even guarantee that the person at the receiving end will love it.
So, here are some of my personal favorite DIY presents on a budget.
1. Cookies or Cupcakes
Who doesn’t love some gooey chocolaty cookies made by their loved ones? You can also add in some red food coloring and use stencils to give them a Christmas vibe.
Some red velvet cupcakes with white buttercream frosting are also cute and budget-friendly gifts to give.
2. Sharpie Mug
The plain white mug in the back of your kitchen cupboard is not useless. Take it out and use a Sharpie to write your friend’s name, initials, or your anniversary dates.
Just find an easy sharpie mug DIY tutorial and you’re good to go!
3. Homemade Soap
DIY homemade soaps with essential oils for your special one might just give them a better Christmas (especially if they’re into more natural homemade products.)
4. Socks
Take red-colored socks and decorate them with whatever you’d like. You could use small pom poms to make them polka-dotted or stick some reindeer on it for a fun and funny festive look.
5. Scented Candles
You can get some basic wax from many stores. Add some food coloring to the wax (if desired) and a dash of their favorite soothing essential oil.
A mason jar would make the best holder for your candle and I’m sure anyone would love this gift.
6. Pressed Flowers
For a flower lover, pressed flowers in a glass display frame, are a great idea!
You can preserve them and keep them on your side table for years to come. You can find some delicate wildflowers and arrange them in a beautiful display.
As cliché as it might seem, the secret ingredient to everything is almost always your love and affection. And these personalized DIY gifts are gonna strike the right chord in your loved one’s heart.
So I’d highly suggest, even if you have the money to buy expensive gifts, to think of something more personalized. Merry Christmas!
