This freezing cold weather isn’t made for everyone (unless you’re Elsa) and its pretty understandable if you don’t want to go out and partake in winter activities.
And despite this freezing weather, the geography of the US still has a lot more to offer than just a winter wonderland. So here are some winter destinations that are great because of their incredible temperatures.
Pahoa, Hawaii
This little town on the big island has everything to offer except the touristy feel. You can choose an oceanfront beach home or other accommodation which all give the same unbeatable access to fun snorkeling and beautiful hikes.
Sedona, Arizona
A tourist’s paradise, this is the perfect place to have a nice sunny vacation in winter.
Bell Rock and Oak Creek Canyon are great hiking spots, and the perceptible architecture of the Chapel of the Holy Cross is a wonderful religious experience.
As soon as the scenic sunset happens a beautiful night sky takes a toll up and you wouldn’t have seen anything more satisfying.
Paso Robles, California
This city, known for its olive groves and more, offers nice weather to get away from all the snow back home. However, you should try staying downtown if you want better access to restaurants, shops, and parks.
Saint Helena Island, South Carolina
This fun vacation spot isn’t even filled with a ton of tourists, so this might be the ideal escape you’ve been looking for! Here you’ll find, beautiful waterfront views, both marsh and woodland, and so much more. Moreover, don’t forget to try all of the seafood available!
Laguna Beach, California
Laguna happens to be one of my favorite places to go. There is plenty to do and see and it’s incredibly relaxing and beautiful to just stay on the beach all day.
Seriously, I lived in the LA area for nearly a decade of my life, been to plenty of beaches, and Laguna is probably the most beautiful.
Savannah, Georgia
Savannah will allow you to escape the colder climates to a classic winter sun stay in this beautiful city. Choose relaxing horse and carriage rides, riverboat cruises, and gentle wanderings through elegantly manicured gardens.
Plus, there’s the beach at Tybee Island within easy reach, perfect for dolphin spotting.
These warm destinations are a perfect escape for you this winter, especially if you hate the cold. So check them out this season and escape the bad weather. I hope you enjoy!
