8 Foods You Can Eat & Still Not Gain Weight

Eating everything without gaining weight is a dream we all have. And thankfully, nature has been kind enough to bless us with low-calorie foods that we can enjoy guilt-free. Most fresh fruits and vegetables, which have not been processed in any kind of way, contain a high amount of water and fiber content that will help our appetite without putting on any extra pounds. So go ahead and try the following foods out!

Leafy Greens: These include a wide range of leaves like spinach, kale, lettuce, and arugula. These leaves have a high amount of fiber and are also rich in essential vitamins and minerals. They are also a great way of increasing the volume of your meal without increasing the calorie count.

Yogurt: This dairy product contains many of the vital nutrients the body needs. It contains a high amount of calcium, vitamin B12, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium among other minerals. Ideally, you should go for unsweetened, Greek-style yogurt. You may toss in some seeds, berries, or nuts to bring texture and taste and make your own healthy, customized snack.

Eggs: Eggs are an excellent source of protein and can curb your hunger. Boil or poach an egg and eat it with salt and pepper for a great healthy snack. But avoid frying the egg as it will give you extra calories from the oil.

Popcorn: Popcorn mostly consists of air. If you pop the kernels with healthy oil and eat them with nothing but a bit of seasoned salt, it won’t affect your body or help you put on any extra weight. Just make sure it’s in moderation!

Beans: Beans are high in protein which will help keep your energy up. Their high fiber content can also lead to a feeling of fullness with a lower calorie intake.

Cucumbers: Cucumbers make the perfect, crunchy summer snack as they have a lot of water in them. Also, they contain beta carotene which is good for the eyes.

Strawberries: One serving of these delicious berries is said to contain more vitamin C than an orange. Strawberries also contain antioxidants, potassium, and fiber. These heart-shaped berries are also good for the heart as they do not contain any cholesterol, sodium, or fat.

Broccoli: This vegetable, which is usually not liked by children, is a favorite amongst the people who are diet conscious or on their weight loss journey. Broccoli also contains a lot of fiber along and vitamins A, C, E, and K. This makes this green vegetable a healthy option to snack on.
