But if you’re wanting to lose weight, then here are ten foods you should definitely avoid!

Some meats are good for you, being high in protein and iron. Yet there are others that are detrimental to your weight loss journey. Beef, especially fatty cuts, can cause your cholesterol to shoot up and hinder your weight loss progress.
Chia Seeds
Yep, chia seeds are great for you, but eat too much, and you’ll start gaining weight. As with everything, moderation is key. So make sure you’re counting how many calories you’re taking in throughout the day.
Pasta
It is commonly believed that whole grain pasta is far healthier than its white counterpart. This is true, but if you want to lose weight and still eat pasta, remember to use portion control.
Nuts
Wait? Nuts?! But nuts are healthy, right? In moderation, the answer is yes. However, too much of anything is bad for you. As a snack, they are a good weight loss food, but if you eat too many, they may not be as beneficial as you’d think.
Protein Shakes

Milk
High fat milk is another one that helps people gain weight. So if you still want the calcium and don’t want to use a dairy-free alternative, then use a low-fat milk instead. That way you won’t undo your hard work and will still have healthy bones and teeth.
Potatoes
Starchy foods are known for make you put on the pounds. So in general, eating too many potatoes can lead to weight gain in all areas of your body.
Salt
In moderation, like almost all the other foods mentioned, salt is fine. Too much will cause you to retain water which may give you a bloated look. Also, you may find yourself drinking more, since salty foods tend to make people dehydrated.
