People are always trying to find new and quick ways to lose weight and get in shape. And intermittent fasting (IT) is one such diet that has helped people lose weight by fasting regularly. However, a lot of care should be taken and you must consult a doctor before you start this diet.

But, if IT is right for you, then I say go ahead and let us know the results. They can be incredible! Also, here are some great foods you can eat when you’re doing intermittent fasting. 🙂

Whole Grains

This might come as a shocker to all of us who believe that diet and carbs don’t belong in the same sentence. But whole grains are rich in fiber and protein, so eating even a small quantity is great because it can be easily digested and used as fuel while you are fasting.

Eggs

Eggs contain a good amount of protein and proves to be a great source of energy throughout the day. A study in men has shown that men who eat eggs are less hungry than men who have bagels for breakfast. So this small, but energizing meal, will mean that you won’t feel hungry for a lot longer and get the appropriate amount protein that you need in a day.

This is a wonderful source of high quality protein. It’s also great for your heart and has a wide range of important nutrients along with Vitamin D.

Lentils are a great way to get your fiber and protein so you stay fuller for a lot longer in your day. Such a great food for when you’re intermittent fasting!

Vegetables rich in fiber such as broccoli, artichokes, peas, and brussel sprouts, are an important part of a diet where fasting is normal. This way you can avoid constipation, since fibers prevent this while also keeping you fuller for a lot longer.

Quinoa

This is one of the few plant foods that contains a sufficient amount of all nine amino acids. It’s also gluten free and high in protein, which is a win-win for since you’re on a diet and want to stay full and be filled with nutrient rich foods.

Avocados

A study found that adding just half of this awesome fruit into your lunch will keep your tummy fuller for more hours.


Whenever you start intermittent fasting, always be patient and start off with baby steps and gradually start moving towards fasting for more hours. And to make your diet a positive and beneficial experience for yourself, just sure you’re consistent.
