It can be hard to crave a snack, but then remind yourself that you want to reach your weight loss goals.
However, there are actually some foods you can eat quite a bit of and not gain back all your weight. So give them a try this week and see how you like them!
Quick Tip
If you want to add something to your drinks and food that keeps your skin looking younger, repairs your body (after working out), AND gives you energy throughout the day, then I would seriously recommend collagen protein powder which you can check out here.
ALSO, this brand is specifically great since it’s flavorless (which is awesome since I hate adding things that make my favorite drinks and food taste horrible). So I would definitely check it out here and see how you feel and look after using it for a little while.
Leafy Greens
These include a wide range of leaves like spinach and kale. These leaves have a high amount of fiber and are also rich in essential vitamins and minerals.
They are such a great way of increasing the volume of your meal without increasing your calories a ton.
Eggs
Eggs are an excellent source of protein and can curb your hunger. Boil and eat it up with a bit of salt and pepper for a healthy and filling snack. However, avoid frying the egg as it will be more calories from the oil.
Yogurt
This dairy snack contains many of the vital nutrients the body needs. It contains a high amount of calcium, vitamin B12, potassium, and phosphorus among many others. Ideally, you should go for unsweetened, Greek-style yogurt.
You can toss in some seeds, berries or nuts for texture and taste and make your own healthy, customized snack.
Cucumbers
Cucumbers make the perfect, crunchy snack as they are mainly made up of water. Cucumber peels are also very good for you, so make sure you don’t peel them off.
Strawberries
One serving of these delicious berries is said to contain more vitamin C than an orange. Strawberries also contain fiber, antioxidants, and potassium. So go ahead and toss some of these on some yogurt!
Beans
Certain beans and legumes such as lentils and black beans are great for losing weight. Beans are high in fiber as well as protein which can help in a feeling of fullness and help you consume fewer calories.
Tomato
This fruit containing lycopene which helps fight against chronic diseases. This fruit is also high in vitamins A, B12, and C.
One medium-sized tomato contains only 25 calories so you don’t have to worry too much about gaining any weight while you devour this delicious fruit.
Popcorn
This universally famous snack comes out of maize seeds that are generally very healthy. It is the added toppings like cheese, butter, and caramel that add calories to this snack (popcorn mostly consists of air.)
So, if you make “air-popped” corn and eat them with nothing but a bit of salt, you won’t be putting back on the pounds.
This is just a list of a few of the many foods that can be consumed with no guilt. Just remember to count your calories so you don’t end up taking too much in.
