For women like us, we know how important makeup is as a part of our daily lives. Whether we go to work, take the kids to school, or even pick up some groceries, we like to look our best. At the same time, good make up can be expensive!
So I did some research for makeup dupes that can take the place your more spendy options. It works the same but definitely friendlier to the wallet. So here they are, an awesome way to look great while still having money left over for other things.
Benefit Professional vs. Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Found from Play Pennies
I personally prefer to use this Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser because it doesn’t feel as heavy or thick. It also removes more easily with just my regular facial cleanser than Monistat does. Performance-wise, Baby Skin is similar to Monistat, but I think Baby Skin works a bit better for my particular skin.
Eye Concealer Dupes
Found from
I admit, this tip is totally for me cause I really love using concealers under my eyes. A high performance Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch ($42) gets a higher price too. Good thing this Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting concealer ($8) works the same. It brightens the under eye area and get rids of dark spots. (Thank goodness!)
Splurge vs Save: Lip Balm
Found from
I really like using this Revlon Colorburst ($7) lip balm because of its natural moisturizer effect with a subtle shine, and it’s way much cheaper than the Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color balm ($17). Both deliver the same quality but I prefer the cheaper option.
The Breakdown: Blemish Control Primer
Found from
Now e.l.f.’s Blemish Control Primer ($6) is a way better price than Smashbox Photo Finish Blemish Control Primer ($42) . It can do the same job, at a lower cost.
Eye Shadow
If you want a fantastic eye shadow, this Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow ($16) is for you. But hey, this Wet n’ Wild single eyeshadow does the same too! It’s a total steal! Keep those extra dollars around for a rainy day.
More Dupes: Mascara
Found from Fc Next Door
I really love mascara because of its dramatic effect. Such a quick way to make a big change! That’s why I’m happy I found Covergirl Lashblast Mascara for $8 compared to Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara for $27.50.
Blush
Found from
This Nars peachy-pink Blush ($3) is such a great find compared to Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso ($6) with a slightly peach blush.
Dupe: Nyx Micro Brow Pencil
Filling in your eyebrow can be crucial to your look, and getting the best shade for you is important. If you’ve been wanting to try Brow Wiz, but you can’t justify $21 for a single brow pencil, then go out and grab the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil at $9.99.
Nyx HD Concealer
Found from Fc Next Door
I’m a big fan of concealer, and this Estee Lauder Smoothing Creme Concealer ($23) performs well in covering up facial blemishes – but feels pricey. Luckily there’s a Nyx Hd Concealer counterpart for only ($6). What a great deal!
Having a glamorous look doesn’t always need to break the bank. Why spend too much on something when you can get the same quality with a lower price?
I hope this post was helpful to you, and tell me about your own tips down below in the comments as well! And as always, I’d love to help you if you have questions.
