As much as we love the idea of saving money, it’s something that’s not so easy to implement. I mean let’s get real, there are endless times where we promise ourselves that we’ll start saving but end up making excuses. And if you’re living paycheck to paycheck, it can get pretty tiring.
And that’s why I’ve decided to make a list of some easy ways to trick yourself into saving money. These are tips and hacks that are simple and easy to implement, and will make you feel like you’re not sacrificing anything. So go through them and let me know what you think!

Have a Change Jar
Grab your spare cookie jar and turn it into a change jar. Instead of leaving coins sitting around your house, keep it in one place and start filling it up.
Before you know it, you’ll have a jar filled with savings. Exchange the coins for bills at your local bank and use for important occasions or goals.

Use as Many Coupons as You Can
After you’re done creating your grocery list, why not try spending some time to look for discount coupons.
Whether it’s from the magazine, flyers, or online, these coupons can help you save a lot. Try to focus on finding discounts that will cater to your essentials and basic needs.

Before you start spending your next pay raise, increase your automatic savings transfer to reflect that pay increase. Stay consistent with your current lifestyle and pretend you’re still making the same income (or even less!).

It’s as simple as it’s sound. Choose a specific day or week and challenge yourself not to spend any money at all. Make your coffee at home, bring your lunch to work, and cut back all spending. You’ll be surprised with how much money you can save by doing this trick.

It’s overwhelming with how many good things you can find at the dollar store. From stocking your pantry to home decor, a visit to this store will definitely make a huge difference in your budget.
So skip the retail stores and shop for less.
Automate Your Savings
One of the easiest ways to consistently save money is by setting up an automatic transfer from checking to saving every month. That way, every time you receive your paycheck, a certain percentage is put into savings. No more worrying about being tempted to spend that money elsewhere.
Stockpile on Select Sale Items
When the grocery store has a sale, catch the deals and stockpile your pantry.
Just be mindful to only get what you need and avoid overspending. Just because the items are on sale doesn’t meaning you need them. Decide whether it’s a want or need.
Remove Credit Card Numbers from Online Shops
By simply removing your credit card numbers and information on different online shopping sites, you can easily trick yourself into saving more money.
Though having a credit card is super convenience, it can help with making online purchases you don’t need (you can also get into trouble if payments aren’t made on time).
The Two Week Method
Make it a habit before you buy something you don’t necessarily need, to leave the item in the store for two weeks. It’ll still be there, and you’ll have time to think about if you really want it
Look for a Side Hustle
If your good at crafts or have a passion for sharing your expertise, consider getting a side hustles. Depending on your capabilities and skills, you can earn extra cash that when added to your savings, will make a big difference. And what you’ll love about this trick is that you can easily earn money anywhere and anytime.
Who says saving money is a daunting task when there are plenty of tips and hacks that’ll help you out. And these ten money tricks from the list above will make your life so much easier. Just be consistent, make them a habit, and you’ll have a successful savings plan.
