DIY Hanging Mason Jar Storage
Save your countertop space and try this DIY project out. All you have to do is attach the mason jar lid onto the underside of your cabinet (through super glue or screws), and then attach the mason jar to the lid so it can hang.
This is a great way to store your cereal, pasta, grains, and more. Just be mindful to hold the bottom when opening and closing the mason jars.
Repurposed Chicken Feeder
If you want to have rustic decor and functional storage, then try repurposing a chicken feeder. You just have to clean it, repaint with copper spraypaint (if needed), and put olive oil and other spices inside. It’ll look good and keep your countertops organized.
Lazy Susan
Contrary to its name, this kitchen organizer is such a great way to store kitchen items. It can hold all your spice jars, packets, and bottles. Give it a nice spin and you’ll be able to grab exactly what you need quickly. Also, it comes with a two-tier shelf, giving you more space.
You can easily get a Lazy Susan here!
Floating Shelves on the Side of the Cabinet
Instead of keeping the side of your cabinet bare, try attaching some shelves. You’ll just need some wood shelves, wood glue, and paint. This is a great way to organize your cooking essentials while keeping them easily accessible.
Easy Drawer Divider
Your silverware and utensils can get easily cluttered and disorganized in your drawer. So why not try this DIY project and create dividers? Just get some poplar boards, wood glue, a hand saw, and a ruler. Measure everything before cutting and assembling the divider.
Curtain Rod with Hooks to Hang Up Utensils
Rather than placing your utensils on the counter, you can hang them with hooks on a curtain rod and keep your counter space free.
Kitchen Shelve Pot Rack
Just like with the DIY idea above, you can also hang your pots and pans on hooks with a curtain rod. This will totally save you so much counter or cabinet space and make things easy to grab.
Cake Stand Kitchen Sink Soap Holder
If you have a cake stand, upcycle it and use it as a holder for all your dish cleaning essentials. It’s a functional storage idea that looks decorative as well.
Install a Flip-Down Shelf
Small counters and limited space seem to be a major problem in any kitchen. So to maximize your space, try adding a flip-down shelf over your sink.
When you’re preparing food, you’ll have an instant space to place your cookbook or any other ingredients. And when done, the shelf flips back up into its locked position against the wall.
Side Counter Magazine Shelf
After using your cookbooks, store them in a side counter shelf that can be easily made by attaching a magazine holder to the side of your counters.
