It’s simple.
You’ree probably bored at home.
You’ve watched all of Netflix.
Every song has been played.
You’re done just taking walks.
There’s nothing good on the TikTok homepage today.
So now it’s time for a living room picnic.
I saw this great idea on another blog and thought I’d contribute.
So what do you need to make this just right?
Blankets
Grab a blanket… could also make a fort… nothing wrong with turning a picnic into something a bit more fun right?
Get multiple, make it cozy. Maybe some candle?
Books Can Be Included
Wanna eat and read? It works whether you’re alone or with someone.
Quick Pro Tip: If you want to watch a movie during or after you’ve eaten, my husband and I have been on a 1980’s and 90’s Kung Fu comedy kick. Cheesy crazy humor and of course, great fight scenes. You can’t go wrong.
Snacks
Get as many snacks as you want. It’s an indoor picnic; there are no rules to this so you can make your own.
Completely unchartered territory.
Grab some dark chocolate and berries. A bag of chips. Popcorn. Maybe some ice cream. Make a fancy charcuterie board if you’re a Pinteresty kind of person. Whatever floats your boat.
Also… here’s a timelapse of cookies baking in case you need some cravings and inspiration for what to make.
Use the Fancy Glasses
Don’t just use them for nice occasions. I mean, that’s ok if you want to do that, but sometimes, there are some not so fancy moments that call for it.
Nice glasses tend to make picnics, in general, feel a whole lot more fun and a bit posh.
Eat This
Here are five 5-ingredient dinners you can quickly make that’ll also make you feel like you’re eating at a restaurant.
(Or you could just order a pizza👌)
Play Some Mad Libs
My husband and I travel full-time and one of our favorite pastimes is playing Mad Libs.
Don’t need to buy them at the store; you can just find some awesome ones online (we like movie-themed Mad Libs – our favorite is Lord of the Rings).
And that’s it…
It’s a simple way to have fun.
There’s food.
Possible movies and books.
Games.
Cozy Blankets.
Just assemble and you’re ready.
Chasing Foxes was started in 2016 as a way for Grace and her husband, Silas, to start traveling. However, they started to realize that they had a passion for improving themselves, and wanted to help others level up their lives as well. So whether it's with cooking, travel, or staying healthy, they want to help you better your life bit by bit, as they do the same.
