While there are plenty of meals you can have for breakfast, two of my favorites are overnight oatmeal and chia see pudding. They’re tasty, healthy, and a perfectly filling breakfast. They’re also super easy to whip up and make a great grab-and-go meal if you’re super busy in the morning.
But did you know that besides being a great breakfast option, both of these meals can help you lose weight? They’re packed with great ingredients like fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, that promote weight loss. They also boost your energy in the morning and help you achieve your fitness goals.
And having said that, I’ve looked for a couple simple overnight oats and chia seed pudding recipes that are super easy to make. So meal prep these on Sunday or the night before and let me know what you think!
Triple Berry Overnight Oatmeals
This overnight oats recipe will not only save you from a rushed morning, but also help make healthy eating fun. Filled with three different berries; raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries, it’s a great power packed breakfast. The benefits from these berries can also help you lose weight and even stop fat from forming. And here’s more reason why you should make this for breakfast.
Triple Berries; Raspberries, Strawberries, and Blueberries
These three berries are a hunger-stopping standout. They’re high in fiber that’ll make you feel full sooner and longer and helps to reduce food cravings. They also provide a hearty dose of vitamin C, manganese, and potassium making them a great starter.
Oatmeals
Another fiber-rich food, oatmeals contain good carbohydrates that burn slowly and thus makes you feel less hungry. The beta-glucan fiber in oats absorbs water and swells in your stomach, increasing satiety. It also helps increase your body’s levels of the appetite-regulating hormone cholecystokinin, which may help control hunger making it easier to lose weight.
Cinnamons
Cinnamon can actually slow down the process of moving food into your stomach making you feel full faster. It processes the carbohydrates more efficiently and this assists you in losing a few pounds. Plus, the sweet taste of cinnamon can help alleviate a sweet craving, this helps you lose weight.
Honey
Unlike refined sugar, honey contains beneficial vitamins and minerals that promote weight loss. These nutrients are essential to dissolve fats and cholesterol in your body and decrease your weight.
Direction
Whether you use a bowl or mason jar, fill it with the oats and honey. Next puree the berries with almond (or coconut) milk, then pour the mixture over the oats and honey and mix. Top with berries, and let it sit overnight.
Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup frozen berries
