In fact, when I was planning my own wedding, I ended up looking at the cost of things and just wanted to…
BUT! It doesn’t have to be flip-the-table expensive!
In fact, there are plenty of ways to make it so that you can have a great wedding, but not have it be super duper expensive. 🥳
And if you wanna have a super awesome wedding and have people think that you spent a ton of money without going into crazy debt, then here are some great wedding freebie hacks to try (and that others have done before too!).

Have a Friend Bake You a Cake Instead of Buying a Gift
Found from Buzzfeed: See Source Below
In Buzzfeed’s post on 18 Ways Real People Had Their Dream Wedding for $5,000 or Less, I really liked their tip on asking a friend to make a cake instead of buying a gift. This is especially great if one of your friends is a skilled cake maker. Besides, wedding cakes are super expensive, so why not cut out a major cost and save some money?

Think Used
Found from Buzzfeed: See Source Below
Now when I suggest checking out used wedding dresses, I don’t mean you have to settle for less. What I mean is, do some searching and find a dress that would normally be over $1k in the bride stores, but you found on Ebay or another site for super cheap. This may not be a freebie, but with wedding dresses, getting an $1800 dress for $350 is basically a free handout (as told by a bride in Buzzfeed’s post, 33 Insanely Smart Ways to Save Money on Your Wedding).
Free Wedding Favor Box and Tags
Found from Popsugar: See Source Below
If you’re thinking about doing wedding favors, then think about these free and easy to make boxes with tags. Super decorative and adorable for a lot of wedding themes and styles (and don’t worry, it comes with easy to follow directions).
A $3k Wedding?
Found from Everything Finance: See Source Below
Again, not technically a freebie, but still a valid story to read and see how this couple cut costs on their wedding. I really liked their tip on how they saved a lot of money on the food by getting it all from different places. Like sushi platters from Costco and pasta catered from an Italian restaurant. It just shows that you can save hundreds (especially if you don’t serve alcohol.. or choose to not have a cake.. just my tip), on food if you get creative on where you get it from. No need to get a fancy catering service that costs a boat load of money.
Free Wedding Playlist
Found from Six Dollar Family: See Source Below
Ok so this woman did an amazing freebie list for brides to be and I’m seriously in awe! Definitely worth the mention! I love her tip on getting a free 2 week trial for Raphodies when planning your wedding playlist and reception music.

Yes! More free printables! Buzzfeed has found some awesome free printables in their post 31 Free Wedding Printables Every Bride-To-Be Should Know About. And these fruit drink labels have definitely stolen my heart! Seriously cute!
